ABOUT SURGE

Surge Dance Project (SDP) is a youth training program based in the Cowichan Valley for young dancers to come together and bond in a like-minded environment. SDP offers a one-day a week dance company program to dancers aged 7-12 that wish to train and perform outside of their current home studio.

Hanna, Director of Surge, understands the importance of providing dancers with a safe, well-rounded environment while encouraging them to reach for their highest potential. SDP has been created with the goal to help develop talented dancers into well rounded artists and technicians.

MEET HANNA

Hanna moved to Vancouver Island at the age of five years old where she quickly discovered her love for dance and never looked back.

Throughout her years of training, Hanna has had the opportunity to study multiple disciplines including ISTD modern, RAD ballet syllabus, contemporary, jazz, tap and lyrical. She competed in many different competitions year after year, winning multiple performance and dedication awards at local music festivals.

It is Hanna’s goal to inspire and motivate the next generation of young dancers to pursue their dreams while promoting comprehensive, encouraging and enhanced training experiences.
